Authority knew about illegal adoptions

The Adoption Authority was alerted to the activities of a Monaghan GP recently exposed as arranging illegal adoptions in the 1970’s as far back as 2005.

Dr Irene Creedon, who ran a GP surgery in Monaghan and has since died, was reported in various media outlets last week as helping to arrange illegal adoptions in the 1970s.
